Hook & Cook is the culmination of my love of sea-fishing, food and cooking.
With over 25 years experience as a head chef in the restaurant & catering industry - and living on the Cornish Coast for the past 18 years - I've seen the steady growth of the movement to connect fresh ingredients to the dining experience without losing sight of their provenance.
Growing up by the sea in Brighton and annual family holidays as a child to the beautiful Cornish Coast means that food and the ocean have always been close to my heart. With Hook & Cook I aim to introduce both seasoned and novice fisherpeople to the world of cooking, and likewise, seasoned or novice cooks to the world of fishing, to give them both an appreciation of their raw ingredients.
In our modern world, with its massive ecological challenges, any re-connection to the environment is essential to our future relationship with our food resources.
